Onee Gyaru is a mature substyle of Gyaru that focuses on a more mainstream style.

Style Basics[]

Onee Gyaru serves to be a more mature and grown-up version of the gyaru style, while still remaining classy, hence the name (onee means older sister in Japanese).

The style still has the traditional gyaru silhouette, but more resembles high fashion and current trends. For instance, worldwide brand names, such as Louis Vuitton or other similar brands, are almost flaunted and seen as a staple in the style, and brand names are extremely popular.

Other features of the style include bleached blond hair, and leopard prints. Tans were also popular towards the beginning of the style but have since fallen out of fashion. [1][2][3]
