Mode Gyaru is a more "mature" version of Gyaru, meant for those who want to look professional and still wear the style.
The Name[]
Mode (モード) is the Japanese word for high fashion, echoing the more mature and fashionable aspects of the style. [1]
Style Basics[]
Mode style focuses on popular mainstream trends from the era of its height, the early 2010s. It features many "high fashion" styles and elegant looks, while still maintaining a gyaru silhouette.
Unlike normal gyaru styles, makeup in Mode is more minimal, and hair is not put in big styles. In short, from a glance, it would be hard to tell if a person was wearing Mode or simply high fashion trends. [1][2][3][4]
